Home School

For those of you that want information on home school I can help you with a couple of schools I am familiar with. First is Calvert School. Calvert school teaches K-8th grade currently but is going to go up to 12th in the next year or two. With Calvert you will have the option of having the courses accredited or not. Depending on what you want to pay. I like Calvert because the instruction manual is very thorough. They send you everything you need to teach your student. A lot of the courses are also on line.
The other school I have experience with is the BYU Independent Study for middle school through high school. This is also accredited. Go to the Links area on my blog and check out both of these schools.
There are many home school options, these are just the two I am most familiar with.

I found this valuable information on the 2ID web site under "Education Questions."
An education provided through the Non-DoD School Program. This program provides payment of tuition to international-type schools, reimbursement of expenses for home school programs, virtual school programs, and other approved programs. Please see the DoDEA Pacific web site for additional details and information.
