Book Review: Seoul by Robert Koehler

Like any guide book this book promises to be "The Best Seoul Guidebook
Ever".  I have to say that I really do think this is a fantastic book.  One thing it has that a whole lot of others don't is pictures.  This book is packed with full color pictures and maps.  The maps are all in color with drawings on them making them really easy for us to use. My only regret is that I didn't purchase this book sooner.  I purchased this book at Hank's Bookshop after touring  Gyeongbok Palace.  Now after reading this book I just have to get back to the palace again and see everything I missed. This book is available from several places.  You can buy it from Dragon Hill Lodge, Hank's Bookshop, on line from Seoul Selection, and from Amazon.com

Book Review

I found this great little book called "South Korea - A True book" by Tara Walters. This book is a children's book put out by Scholastic with a total of 48 pages. I found the book very interesting, my 12-year-old also liked it. The book is broken down into 6 small chapters. There are lots of beautiful, and fun pictures. The book gives a good brief overview of South Korea. It covers a brief history, shows you glimpses of beautiful temples and talks about the latest trends. It also has a great section on robots. "South Korea wants to be the world's top robot nation. The country is working hard to earn this title. Its goal is to have a robot in every home by 2020!" I would recommend this book for anyone with children coming to Korea.
