Spring Festivals 2010 March - May


Here is the latest information from the Official Site of Korean Tourism on the Spring Festivals through May 2010. I have listed several. However, go to the link and you will see there are many many more events going on! I have looked these areas up on my map of Korea and listed where to look on the map to find them. I hope this will help.

Jinhae Gunhang (Naval Port) Festival
Dates: April 1 - 11th, 2010
Location: Jinhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do province. (This is in the very South, Southwest area of the peninsula)

Icheon Baeksa Sansuyu (Cornus Fruit) Blossom Festival
Dates: April 2 - 4th, 2010
Location: Dorip-ri Gyeongsa-ri, Songmal-ri, Baeksa-meyeon region, Icheon city, Gyeonggi-do province. (This is close to us in the North, Northwest area of the peninsula)

Hwagae Marketplace Cherry Blossom Festival
Dates: April 2 - 4th, 2010
Location: Hwagae marketplace - Ssanggyesa Temple District in Hwagae-myeon, Handong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do province. (South, Southeast area of the penisula)

Yeouido Spring Flowers Festival
Dates: April 6 - 18th, 2010
Location: Area behind Yeouido National Assembly Building and the surriouding areas of Yunjongno & Yeouido in Seoul. (This is close to us in the North, Northwest area of the peninsula)

Jeju Canola Blossom Festival
Dates: April 10 - 11th, 2010
Location: Siminbokji Town, Jeju-si, Jeju-do province. (This is on a little island in the South West corner of the peninsula)

Damyang Bamboo Festival
Dates: May 1 - 5th, 2010
Location: Jukhyang Cultural Village, and the Korea Bamboo Museum, Jungnogwon, Damyang Cultural Park, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do province. (This is Southwest on the peninsula)

Cheongpunghoban Cherry Blossom Festival
Dates: April 8 - 18th, 2010 *Dates subject to change.
Location: Cheongpungho Lake area, jeocheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do province. (This is the Northcentral part of the peninsula)

Hampyeong Butterfly Festival
Dates: April 23rd - May 9, 2010
Location: Hampyeong Expo Park area, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do province. (This is Southwest on the peninsula)
