Exporting Pets to South Korea

If you are bringing your pets to Korea you need to be aware of a few things. First you will need your health certificate to be less than 10-days old when the pet arrives. If you happen to have had all of your pets vaccines at a military facility then you probably don't need to go to the USDA, APHIS, VS.
However, if you haven't had them vaccinated at the military facility the whole time you will need to first go to your veterinarian and get the health certificate. Next you call the local USDA, APHIS, VS office and talk to them. They will give you their address. You can either drive over with the certificates to get them signed off or Fed-Ex them over night, including a Fed-Ex return bill, and they will sign off on the documents and Fed-Ex them back to you.

Make sure the rabies vaccines are more than 30 days old but less than a year old. I have been told there is a 10-day quarantine once they get to Korea.

The Yongsan Pet Care Center is authorized to retrieve pets from Incheon Airport accompanied by the pet owner, for transfer of the Pet Care Center for quarantine. When the quarantine period is over, the pet owner can pick up their pet from the Pet Care Center. The owner must provide the following documentaiton to the Incheon Quarantine Office:
* Three copies of the Animal Quarantine Form (USFK 147 EK)
* One copy of the owner's Travel Orders
* One copy [original] Rabies Shot Record

Note: There is not a pet boarding facility at CRC.
