South Korea has four seasons.
Spring March - May. In spring there is the Cherry Blossom Festival. Nature determines the exact time of the festival, however according to Lonely Planet April is the best time. They suggest taking a picnic to Yeouido's Cherry Blossom Park, Olympic Park, or Namsan.
Summer June - August, with temperatures averaging between 80-90F. Summers are humid. It is recommended you at least have fans in your apartment to help with the humidity.
Fall September - November. The mountains are supposed to be very beautiful and colorful this time of year! It is also a great time to get used to your ondol (heated floors).
Winter December - February, with temperatures between -5 to 30F. This is definately time to discover the hot spring spas around Korea! Winters in Korea are very dry due to the cold Syberian winds .
Here is a link to the Cherry Blossom Festival. The image above is from the Korean Tourism Office. I am anxious to replace it with my own this year!
I also found this other Blog on Korea that had beautiful photos!
